DEN CHIEF
VOLUNTEERS:
Cub Scout packs still need help:
They need help with their
dens. If you have taken the Den chief training then you need to be a den
chief. Your den chief status is not complete until you have actually been
a den chief. See Mr Grabman about being a chief. Pack 27 meets on Tuesday
nights. Also if you wish to do this training on your own it is offered
online through our councils training site/link. http://olc.scouting.org/
*If there is any scout in need of service hours there is a new scout museum
at Camp Stambaugh that could always use a little help. If in need of
hours we can get you in contact with Mr. Bill Moss from council.
Scout Uniform:
If Scouts are wearing their uniform they are representing
our Troop and the Scouts. Please do not wear jeans with holes, athletic
shorts, gloves, or any hats other than the Boy Scout hat. Nice jeans,
khakis or nice jean or khaki shorts should be worn.
Permission slips:
These are very important to have
to us two weeks before the campouts or any other events that we go to.
We
need to plan on having
the right amount of food and drinks. We also need to be sure council
knows what we are doing and where so we get credit for these campouts
and scouts get
the credit too.
There are no more IOU'S for campouts; Fee must be paid in full Before ALL
campouts
Attendance:
We are going to begin to take
attendance at meetings and campouts. We understand that there are many
other things
going on in your lives and we will always work around that. However,
there has got to be some regular attendance to our planned activities.
We would
like you to attend at least 50% -55% of activities
planned, that’s meetings and campouts. Just because you’ve “already
done it once” doesn’t mean you shouldn’t go. We
need the seasoned scouts to help the younger scouts learn how to do things.
It will help in your leadership skills which is essential to scouting.
Please make it a point to attend as much as you can.
CommitteeChair:
Please forward any problems, suggestions or comments
about Troop 46 to Tony Masello (and ONLY Tony) at 330-758-5568 and his
email is makt@zoominternet.net.
EagleProject:
If you need help with
a project in any way see Mr. George Grimm.
Scouts MUST follow proper procedure when applying for Eagle Scout.
They should receive a packet after they become Life Scouts. These
steps are clearly spelled out in the packet and need to be followed so
that their application and process is approved. If you need an Eagle
project committee review please contact Mr. Grimm. Eagle
project reviews need to be scheduled weeks ahead of time for a Troop Committee
meeting. We only have these meetings once a month (The 2nd Monday of the
month). Also, if you are in ofneed scout assistance, and you have
arranged it we can place a reminder in the posting. Email your request
or speak with Mr. Hoffman and he will put it in the next Monday
reminder. rhofster@hotmail.com
